State police at Lehighton

State police at Lehighton gave details on several cases:

• A 19-year-old man from Drums is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance following a traffic stop made by state police at the Lehighton barracks at 10:21 p.m. Feb. 23.

Police said they stopped the man driving a 2010 Subaru Outback for a Motor Vehicle Code violation, after which time they found him to be under the influence and in possession of a controlled substance.

• Police cited a 47-year-old Kunkletown man for harassment after a domestic incident they were called to at 6:15 p.m. Feb. 18. It happened along Ralph Samuel Boulevard in Polk Township. The victim is a 38-year-old woman from Kunkletown.

• A 28-year-old Bartonsville man is facing drug possession and driving under the influence of a controlled substance charges after a traffic stop at 6:36 p.m. Feb. 15.

Police said they stopped the man while driving a 2009 Toyota van and found him to be under the influence and in possession of the drugs. The stop was made at the intersection of Interchange Road and Court Street in Franklin Township.

• Two Jim Thorpe men, ages 35 and 46, were cited for harassment following a verbal and physical altercation that they were called to at 1:22 a.m. Feb. 27.

It happened along Bear Creek Drive in Penn Forest Township.

Police did not release names of the suspects.
