Over $300,000 worth of drugs seized in Schuylkill County raid

The Pennsylvania State Police and the Schuylkill County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force executed two search warrants in Saint Clair and East Norwegian Township on Feb. 24, seizing more than $330,000 worth of drugs.

Joanne Stefanie Noble, 45, of North Second St., was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge David Plachko of Port Carbon under the Controlled Substance Drug Device and Cosmetic Act and committed to the Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville, in lieu of $100,000 bail.

Police said they were joined by the Troop L Vice/Narcotics Unit, Reading, in the search at 2:52 p.m. at Noble’s residence, where police confiscated in excess of 13 pounds of methamphetamine with an estimated street value of over $310,000, about 145 grams of suspected cocaine worth $14,000 on the street and approximately 1,350 grams of suspected marijuana having a street value in excess of $8,000.

Also seized was $16,840 in cash.

Police said Noble is also being held in custody for two active arrest warrants against her, one by the district attorney’s office and the other by the Pennsylvania State Probation and Parole Office.

Police said the drug arrest is part of a larger, ongoing narcotics trafficking investigation being conducted by the DA’s drug task force and state police.
