State police at the Frackville barracks were summoned to an incident at the Dollar General Store, 359 Valley St., Brockton, Schuylkill Township, after someone paid for merchandise with a counterfeit $20 bill.

Police said they were called there at 1:08 p.m. Feb. 14.

Police said a man who initially used the fake bill then attempted to purchase additional items with additional bills that were found to be counterfeit by a store clerk.
