Bombers’ Robinson headed to Ursinus

Palmerton’s Kendall Robinson will continue his academic and athletic career at Ursinus College, where he will play football.

A two-year player on the varsity squad for the Blue Bombers, Robinson excelled on offense and defense at wide receiver and defensive back.

Offensively, he had 37 receptions for 563 yards and seven receiving touchdowns, averaging 15.2 yards per catch. Robinson also had one rushing touchdown and accounted for a total of 56 points scored.

On defense, Robinson had 35 tackles (30 solo, five assists) with two tackles for loss, three interceptions, two pass deflections and one forced fumble.

Robinson was a Second Team Colonial League selection at wide receiver, and Third Team CL pick at defensive back. He was also named to the Times News All-Star Team at wide receiver and defensive back, as well as earning Morning Call Honorable Mention honors.

Robinson was Palmerton’s Lehigh Valley Scholar Athlete representative. He was also named the squad’s Most Improved Player.

In addition to football, Robinson also plays basketball for the Blue Bombers, and is a member of the school’s honor roll and also serves as the Gridiron Club Secretary.

Robinson also volunteers his time with the Palmerton youth football and basketball camps, as well as at the Palmerton Community Festival stand.

The son of Marquesio Robinson and Katherine Jordan, Kendall will study sports marketing and finance at Ursinus.
