State police at Fogelsville

State police at the Fogelsville barracks reported on several incidents:

• Police are investigating a forgery/counterfeiting case that they were called to at 12:50 a.m. Feb. 17 along Kistler Valley Road in Lynn Township.

Police said they talked to a person who told them two of his company’s checks were fraudulently cashed through the Bank of America.

• Police said a Lynn Township resident is the victim of a cryptocurrency incident that they were called to at 6:01 p.m. Feb. 8 along Schochary Road in the township, although the victim is currently not out of any funds.

Police said the victim provided personal banking information to a loan company for a personal load, after which time fraudulent checks were deposited into the victim’s account and subsequently transferred to an unknown used via CashApp.

• A 50-year-old Palmerton man is facing drug possession charges after a traffic stop made by state police at 11:55 p.m. Feb. 11.

Police said they stopped the 2018 GMC Canyon at the intersection of West Tilghman Street and Springhouse Road in Allentown. They discovered the man was in possession of marijuana. Police did not list his name.

• Nicole C. Quinter, 32, of East Bangor, suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 11:50 a.m. Feb. 16 on Route 309 in Lynn Township.

Police said she was driving a 2005 Buick Rainer when she failed to maintain her lane of travel. It left the road and struck a large tree before overturning and coming to rest on its passenger’s side, at which point its engine caught fire.

Police said Quinter refused as medical transport by the Cetronia Ambulance Corps.

The New Tripoli Fire Department assisted at the scene. The vehicle was towed.

Police said Quinter was cited for the crash.
