Nesquehoning Borough Council filled its vacant seat that was created earlier this month with the resignation of longtime councilman Donato DeMarco.

On Wednesday, the board unanimously voted to accept the sole letter of interest submitted by Michael Radocha Sr.

Nesquehoning Mayor Sam Kitchko then swore in Radocha, who took his seat at the table as the meeting commenced.

Radocha, a 25-year resident of the borough, will fill the position until the end of 2017.
