Emergency personnel from Tamaqua were dispatched late Saturday afternoon to a crash with injuries along Route 309. The crash occurred around 5 p.m. at the intersection with Owl Creek Road involving a pickup truck and a sport utility vehicle. The injured were treated at the scene by members of the Tamaqua ambulance and Lehighton paramedics before being transported to a nearby trauma center. Tamaqua fire police maintained traffic control at the scene reducing the northbound lanes to one lane. Tamaqua police are investigating the incident.
