Author to speak in Tamaqua Monday

Marc Hayford, who has written three self-help books, will host a presentation and book signing Monday at 6 p.m. at the Tamaqua Area School District Auditorium.

The public is invited. During the day, Hayford will speak to middle and high school students.

Hayford is a former radio personality for his Philadelphia-based talk show “The Get Up Power Hour” and a podcaster for his “Get Up” podcast, which can be heard in more than 40 countries.

He is a former professional wrestling referee for the WWE, a disc jockey with more than 20 years experience, a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces and a former middle school head football coach.

His books include “Get Up,” “365 Days of Encouraging You to Attack Life” and “Light Up the Darkness,” have hit number one in the categories of self help, neurolinguistics programming and sports psychology.

“Growth mindset is the focus and it is done with positivity and encouragement. We give ourselves false self limitations,” Hayford said. “The goal is to always have an audience leave with more hope, value and inspiration than when they first arrived.”
