Thanks to the generosity of the First Union Bank, the Salvation Army’s dream of having a fully-equipped computer room at its Tamaqua facility has become a reality.

The bank has donated 20 computers, including monitors, keyboards and mouse devices, to the Tamaqua center located at 105 W. Broad St.

Presenting the computers to the corps was Rick Rynkiewicz, First Union financial specialist, and Lisa Confer, customer relations manager. Major Diane Hepburn of the Army said the computers, once installed and fully functional, will be a major help to both students and adults.
