A large quantity of drugs were seized at a Schuylkill County residence as part of a joint investigation by the state police at Frackville barracks, the county district attorney’s office and the county drug task force.

Troopers said on Tuesday a search and seizure warrant was executed at a home in Brandonville, Union Township.

During the search substantial items of contraband, including the following, were seized:

In excess of 300 grams of fentanyl with a estimated street value of more than $36,000; excess of 35 grams of cocaine with a estimated street value of $4,000; and $900 in cash.

As a result troopers said Michael Edward Kohlepp, 42, of Brandonville, was taken into custody and charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, three counts of possession of a controlled substance - fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Kohlhepp was arraigned by District Judge Anthony J. Kilker, of Shenandoah, and committed to the county prison in Pottsville in lieu of $100,000 straight cash bail. Troopers also said Kohlhepp had three active arrest warrants, two issued in Schuylkill County and one in Luzerne County.
