Lehighton Borough Council took the following action this week:

• Approved the pump station maintenance agreement.

• Approved giving $100 to each of the Business Christmas Decorating Contest winners.

• Approved the Lehighton Halloween Parade Committee to hold the Halloween Parade on Oct. 21, with a rain date of Oct. 22.

• Approved Carbon Chamber and Economic Development Corp. to hold a 5K run/walk from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 15 on Lehigh Drive.

• Approved requests from Lehighton Downtown Partnership to hold the Downtown Farmer Market from May 13 to Oct. 28; Movie Nights in the Park, June 9, Sept. 12 and Oct. 13 at dusk and National Night Out from 3-10 p.m. Aug. 1.

• Tabled requests from Lehighton Downtown Partnership for “Wine on the River” at Baer Memorial Park on May 6, a Spell Binding Street Festival Sept. 9 and a Hometown Vintage Christmas Dec. 16.
