Calvary Lewistown

Guest Speaker Rev. Brian Reading of Schuylkill Haven will offer the message this Sunday at the 10:25 a.m. worship service along with communion at Calvary Evangelical Church, Lewistown Valley. Sunday school is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. This Sunday is also Souper Sunday, bring soup to the morning worship service to share with those in need. There will be no evening service this Sunday.

Prayer and share service on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. Feb. 19 will be a service of love and a Presidents Day program.

Zion Lewistown

Pastor Jim Williams will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. service this Sunday at Zion Church Lewistown Valley. Sunday school is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.

Souper Sunday Game Afternoon will follow the church service. Everyone is invited to play games in the social hall from noon until 3 p.m. Please bring a soup to share.

Womens Bible Study group will meet on Monday at 6:30 p.m. in Memorial Hall.

Tamaqua Seniors

The Tamaqua Senior Citizens met on Feb. 2 with 24 members in attendance. President Mary Bittle opened the meeting with the reading “Joy Cometh In The Morning.” February birthdays are being celebrated by Norma Lee Burke and Eleanor Schmerfeld.

The group meets every Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Coaldale Complex.

Anyone 55 and older is invited to attend.

Chili & Boilo Cook Off

American Hose Co #1 and East End Fire Co. are hosting a chili and boilo cook off on Saturday, Feb. 25.

Navy Club

The Carbon County Navy Club is looking for new members. Any branch, no matter when you served. Meeting will be held on Feb. 27 at 6 p.m. at the Nesquehoning VFW, 300 E. Center St.

American Primitive
