The Nesquehoning fire department was dispatched to a brush fire Tuesday afternoon off Route 209. The call came in around 3 p.m. of a brush fire to the rear of WLSH radio with smoke showing. Firefighters were not able to find the source of the smoke in the very remote area. A large front end loader was called to the scene to remove large boulders blocking an access road. Lansford fire police maintained traffic control at the scene.
