State Police at Schuylkill Haven

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers in Schuylkill County:

• A two-vehicle crash was reported at 12:18 p.m. on Jan. 16 along Route 901 in Cressona. Troopers said William D. Armstead Jr., 24, of Rockville, Dauphin County, was driving a 2001 Toyota Camry southbound while Nicholas P. Matz, 19, of Schuylkill Haven, was driving a 2018 Ford Fusion northbound.

Armstead made a left turn in front of Matz without yielding, causing a collision.

Both drivers and a passenger with Matz were not injured. Both vehicles were towed.

Armstead was cited for the crash.

• A one-vehicle crash was reported at 2:40 a.m. on Jan. 6 along Roue 183 in Wayne Township. Troopers said Matthew G. Snukis, 59, of Pottsville, was driving a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder southbound when his vehicle struck a deer that had entered the road in front of him.

Snukis was not injured but the vehicle had to be towed.

• A two-vehicle crash was reported at 1:44 p.m. on Jan. 12 along Route 61 in North Manheim Township. Troopers said Charles J. Borowski, 60, of Blakely, Lackawanna County, was northbound driving a 2017 Honda Ridgeline when he attempted to make a left turn from the right lane at a jug handle.

His vehicle then struck a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek operated by Tamela A. Wytovich, 52, of Pottsville, as she crossed 61 at the jug handle.

Wytovich suffered minor injury and was taken to St. Luke’s-Geisinger Hospital, Orwigsburg. Borowski was not injured.

Borowski was cited for the crash.
