The Monroe County commissioners dealt with another change order for the Courthouse Renovation Expansion Project at Wednesday’s meeting.

The change order was for a new fuel storage tank for $111,780.24. It was requested by LTS Plumbing and Heating Inc. in Paxinos and approved.

The commissioners also amended a motion for a contract with Westspan Healthcare in Blakeslee. The contract was from the previous meeting for services for the Monroe County Area Agency on Aging.

Greg Christine, the chief clerk for the commissioners, said in an interview that the county requires vendors to carry $1 million in liability insurance. Since Westspan did not have the amount of liability insurance, the contract had to be voided.

If at some point Westspan does acquire that amount of liability insurance, then the county would consider working with them again, Christine said.

The commissioners approved the following:

• Steve Webster was appointed to the Board of Directors for the Pocono Mountains Municipal Airport Authority.

• Reaapointed to the Pleasant Valley Manor Board of Trustees - Sharon Laverdure, John Moyer, John Christy, Robert Shebelsky and Peter Casale.

• Dr. Kirk Heilbrun was added to the list of approved vendors for the Public Defenders Office.
