Chicken and waffles

Salem United Church of Christ will hold a takeout chicken and waffle dinner on Feb. 25.

The menu will include a full meal, including mashed potatoes, green beans and dessert.

Tickets for the event are $11 for adults, $5 for children ages 4-12 and children 3 and under are free. Tickets for this takeout only dinner can be purchased by calling Linda at 570-401-3710 or Margret at 570-427-4136 before Feb. 19.

Salem United is located at 330 First St., Weatherly.

Faith Church Weatherly

Faith Church Weatherly, located at 202 Carbon St., will hold several events next week.

First Monday Mom’s Group will be held at noon.

Teaching on Prayer will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

Men’s and Women’s small groups, as well as Youth and Kids Clubhouse will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

Thursday a Women’s refit will take place at 10 a.m.; while the church’s newly formed Celebrate Recovery, which aims to help those with addictions, begins at 6 p.m. with doors opening at 5:30 p.m.

First Friday prayer meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday.

Sunday Service and Kids Clubhouse is held at 10 a.m. Sunday; and Youth and Sunday Night Live will be held at 6 p.m.
