Gregory Tirpak of Tamaqua won the boys 12-13-year-old division at the District level of the Elks Hoop Shoot Competition. This year’s District competition was held at Tamaqua High School on Saturday, Jan. 28. Gregory, representing the Tamaqua Elks Lodge, made 20 of 25 free throws to advance to the Pennsylvania State Finals at Bellefonte Area High School on Saturday, March 4. This will be the third time that Tirpak has represented the Tamaqua Elks at a state level. He is the son of Jessica and Gregg Tirpak.
