Carbon Chamber & Economic Development presents Book Lovers Women in Business Luncheon on Feb. 23 at The Palmerton Library, 402 Delaware Ave.

Women in Business welcomes back Judith Umlas. She is the author of Grateful Leadership and Power of Acknowledgment. She is launching a new publication, Soulmates and Strangers.

Before? email or Facetime, when snail mail was the only way to communicate across oceans, Umlas’ mother and her French pen pal created a family legacy. Their writings to one another, starting when they were teenagers and ending in their 80s, preserve a precious time in the past, while inspiring generations of the future.

During this WIB luncheon, Umlas will also speak on the process of publication, and read few pages from her book.

The program begins with networking at 11 a.m. and lunch begins at 11:30 p.m.
