State police at Lehighton - Crashes

State police at Lehighton reported on the following crashes:

• A two-vehicle crash was reported at 2:18 p.m. on Jan. 18 at the intersection of Forest Inn Road and Stagecoach Road West, in Towamensing Township, Carbon County. Troopers said Gabriella A. Superville, 47, of Norristown, Montgomery County, driving a 2021 Toyota Highlander, was stopped on Stagecoach Road attempting to cross Forest Inn Road. She pulled out and her vehicle was then struck by a 2018 Nissan Frontier operated by Devon R. Wantz, 30, of Lewistown, Mifflin County.

Superville and two passengers suffered minor injuries and were taken to St. Luke’s Hospital-Carbon, Franklin Township. Wantz was not injured.

Both vehicles had to be towed. Superville was cited for a stop sign violation.

• A two-vehicle crash was reported at 8:44 p.m. on Jan. 18 along Blue Mountain Drive in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County. Troopers said Brian D. Ross, 50, of Nazareth, operating a 2011 Toyota Tacoma truck, pulled out of the parking lot at Blue Mountain Resort, and his vehicle struck a 2016 Toyota Tacoma operated by Robert D. Sharp, 23, of Lehighton.

No injuries were reported. Both vehicles had to be towed and Ross was cited.

• A one-vehicle crash was reported at 8:49 a.m. on Jan. 23 along Route 115 in Ross Township, Monroe County. Troopers said Shirlee A. Kutzler, 27, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Equinox when she failed to stop/slow for traffic ahead of her. Her vehicle went onto the berm and struck an embankment.

Kutzler was evaluated at the scene by medical personnel and cleared. The vehicle was towed.
