State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a robbery at a Monroe County business.

Troopers said on Jan. 20 at 2:55 a.m. two males wearing all black clothing, backpacks and skull type masks attempted to enter the West End Tobacco Shop, located off Route 209, in Brodheadsville, Chestnuthill Township.

The larger male then retrieved a baton type weapon and smashed the front door that was locked.

They entered the store and smashed multiple glass cases and stole an unknown amount of vape cartridges. The males left the store about one minute later and ran in an eastern direction.

A canvas of the area was conduct with negative results, troopers said.
