PVEN needs

According to one of the supporting churches of the PVEN, needed by the outreach entity are personal care items including shampoo, soaps, lotions, shaving products, and the like.

One can take them directly to the PVEN at 2336 Rt. 209 in Sciota, or give it to one’s participating church.

From the PVEN itself, comes the listing of those items but also those needed by the Food Pantry portion of the PVEN, including cake mixes and frosting, pasta, cereal, and mashed potatoes.

And for the Clothing Closet portion, additional needs are cleaning supplies and paper products; sheets, towels and blankets; and boys’ and men’s gloves.

Girl Scout Troop #52333 is collecting dry and wet cans/bags of dog, cat, puppy and kitten food, pet toys and pet treats for the Pocono Pet Pantry in Monroe County through March 11.

Anyone willing to donate, as members of Effort UMC, may bring their items to the church. Emma Wichman and Danielle Binkley are doing this as a Girl Scout project and will be picking items up each week. Items may be placed in the box in the Narthex.

Others may support these Girl Scouts by placing donations in the appropriate bins, collection buckets, whatever at Tractor Supply in Brodheadsville, Kunkletown General Store, PV Intermediate School, Towamensing Elementary or even at the Moose Lodge in East Stroudsburg, according to Troop Leader Amy Binkley.
