January 24, 1985 - Marian’s Diane Decker sets a new school record when she scores 60 points during a 126-26 victory over host Freeland. Decker hits on 29-of-51 shots from the floor and adds a pair of free throws to account for her total, which she accumulates during three quarters of play. She nets 24 of her points in the first quarter as the Fillies, coached by Elsie Tolan, race to a 42-2 lead. Decker (whose record still stands) adds 18 in the second frame to help boost Marian’s advantage to 70 points by the break, and ends with 18 in the third. Patti Oakes and Kris Marsilio both chip in with 12 points, while Kim Kapes adds 10.
