Colonel John R. Williams, business manager at the Public Nursing Service of Lehigh County, has been named Fund Drive Chairman of the Carbon County Red Cross Drive for 1975.

Col. Williams is active in community affairs and is a member of the Lehighton Chamber of Commerce, Lehighton Rotary, American Legion, V.F.W., Lion Club of Mahoning Valley, Lehighton Elks and F. and AM Lodge.

He attended Wilkes College and the Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, where he later served as a professor of military science for five years.

He and his wife reside at 181 N. 12th St., Lehighton.
