Man faces charges in several incidents

A Tamaqua man had three run-ins with borough police in a few weeks time.

Dennis K. Parrish, 59, of Penn Street, was charged with harassment on Dec. 21, after a borough man reported that Parrish continues to harass him.

The victim told police that he allowed Parrish to live with him for a short period of time, and despite kicking him out and telling him not to return, Parrish continues to stop by his residence.

Police said he recently told the victim that he planned to burn down the house. The victim was advised to call 911 each time Parrish contacts him.

On Jan. 4, police were again contacted by the victim who said Parrish showed up at his house and banged on the door. Police charged him with harassment, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.

On Jan. 5, officers spoke to another man who said he is being repeatedly harassed by Parrish. He told police that Parrish knocks on his doors and windows at all times of the day and night.

The victim said he placed “Do Not Disturb” signs on his doors, but Parrish told him “they make him knock on the windows and door even more.”

Police said he also threatened to slash the man’s tires if he doesn’t give him rides and continues to place furniture on the man’s porch.

In the latest incident, police charged Parrish with harassment, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.
