Man admits to Franklin burglary

A Franklin Township man has been charged with burglary following an incident Tuesday morning.

Township police responded at 7:56 a.m. to a report of a burglary in progress in the unit block of Main Road.

Officers were on scene within minutes, and the victim said the suspect, Daniel Waldron, 40, had fled into a nearby residence after he attempted to detain the suspect at gunpoint.

The victim was able to name Waldron from previous encounters.

Waldron surrendered to officers.

Along with the victim’s eyewitness account, physical evidence at the scene was collected. Waldron admitted to the offenses.

Waldron faces charges of burglary, criminal trespass, and criminal mischief.

He was arraigned and taken to the Carbon County Correctional Facility after being unable to post bail.
