Borough worker hurt in fall

A Nesquehoning borough worker was injured Wednesday while taking down Christmas decorations along Catawissa Street.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., emergency crews were called to the 300 block of East Catawissa Street. It was reported that a person fell out of the bucket of a bucket truck.

Council President David Hawk said that the person, who he did not identify, received emergency care on scene and was then transported to St. Luke’s Miners campus. The extent of the worker’s injuries is unknown.

Hawk said that no details on the accident will be released pending required notifications/investigations.
