A Schuylkill County home was destroyed by fire Wednesday morning.

Fire companies from around the county responded to the dwelling fire in Wayne Township on Kiehners Road.

Neighbors rescued two dogs from the flames.

The homeowners apparently were not home at the time of the fire.

Neighbors reported flames shooting from the rear of the home. When firefighters arrived the home was fully involved in flames.

Kiehners Road is about a mile north of Route 443.
