George Duell, Army Reserve Ambassador for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, recognized Dr. Barbara Conway, superintendent of the Jim Thorpe Area School District, at Monday evening’s meeting.

Conway was recognized with a national level award (Employer Award) for her support of an Army Reserve soldier.

Duell said Conway was being honored for “outstanding support for one of her employees, Chief Eric Flowers, who is the instrumental director for the district.”

Flowers, an active Reservist, presented Conway a medallion and Duell presented her a Patriot Partner Flag and Commanders Coin.
