The Lehighton Downtown Farmers Winter Market continues its successful run at its new location.

The event is held from 10 a.m. to noon on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month at 1 Constitution Ave.

Hosted by the Lehighton Downtown Partnership, this year’s winter market began in November and runs through April.

“It’s going good,” said Bambi Elsasser, Lehighton Main Street Manager. “The winter market is more for people to come and shop and go.”

Elsasser said the event has fresh produce, beef, pork, chicken, poultry, honey, baked goods, as well as ”more of your staple-type things.”

She said they are starting to ramp up for the Summer Market.

“We are looking for more farmers and more vendors; we want to grow the market this year,” Elsasser said. “In the summer, we are going to be doing our live music, more activity-type things, looking at possibly doing yoga in the park, (as well as) some demonstrations and activities for the public to enjoy.”

Remaining dates for the winter market are as follows: Jan. 14, Jan. 28, Feb. 11, Feb. 25, March 11, March 25, April 8, and April 22.
