Sunday worship with Holy Communion at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 South 3rd St., Lehighton, begins 9:30 a.m. Holy Communion is served with wafer placed in your open hand, and wine or grape juice in a small cup. Gluten free wafers are available to those with allergy issues. Masks are no longer required, however, if you are not fully vaccinated, you are encouraged to wear a mask. The Rev. Nancy L. Moore presides.

Tha Annual Congregational Meeting begins immediately following the worship service in Luther Hall. Snow date is Jan. 29.

There will be no Sunday Church School session Jan. 15. Classes for students ages 3 through grade 6 resume Jan. 22.

For those desiring to schedule a baptism, please preregister by calling the church office in advance of Sunday at 1 p.m. information session with Pastor Moore. For those desiring to seek membership at Trinity, please call the church office to set up an appointment with Pastor Moore.

The Food Pantry continues to be open Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (and third Tuesday from 5:30-7 p.m.) with an outdoor drive-up setting. Residents in need who reside in the Lehighton Area School District are eligible to receive prepackaged supplemental food items. Participants must remain in their vehicle at time of pick up.

The Trinity Thrift Store hours are Wednesdays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donation drop-offs are accepted during store hours on Wednesdays, limited to five bags or boxes. Upcoming events to observe Trinity’s 150th anniversary: family style covered dish dinner with entertainment by “The Amazing Magi” Feb. 4: 1-4 p.m.; youth-featured worship March 26 at 9:30 a.m. The next planning meeting is Jan. 15 at 12:15 p.m. following the annual congregational meeting for anyone desiring to participate.

A sign up sheet is in the narthex to write the number of people planning to attend the Feb. 4 covered dish meal and indicate what food item you can share. 150th Anniversary booklets are available in the narthex or the church office for pick up.
