BRC kicks off card campaign

Blue Ridge Communications kicks off its 10th Annual Touch A Heart campaign, encouraging community members to make handmade Valentine cards to be distributed to nursing home residents, veterans, soldiers, and those that need it the most.

Last year, Blue Ridge collected more than 11,000 handmade Valentine cards with personalized messages and delivered to 70-plus organizations. The cards were given to people who would not otherwise receive a card on Valentine’s Day.

“A personal, handmade Valentine card is such a simple gesture that can make a huge impact to those who feel forgotten on Valentine’s Day,” said Julianne Brixius, Marketing/Public Relations Coordinator for Blue Ridge. “Community is so important to Blue Ridge, and we strive to make a difference wherever we can. We want to thank everyone who is willing to Touch A Heart this Valentine’s Day”

Participants of Blue Ridge’s Touch A Heart campaign can send their handmade Valentine cards to:

Blue Ridge is accepting Valentine cards now through Feb. 3.
