Letter to the editor: Time for boroughs to think creatively

Editor and borough presidents:

To many boroughs have a set rule. They don’t want to change anything. I think it’s about time they did. They should bring in as much new business as they can.

We need new business and new ideas so we can bring in outside money and more neighbors to fill empty homes and buildings.

Stop clearing new land! Fill what’s there, so we don’t have to spend money tearing things down.

Don’t be afraid to use your imagination. It might even help to keep taxes down.

I remember when boroughs did things instead of emptying buildings, making parking lots and having an excuse instead of an idea.

Things could get better if councils and commissioners did things, instead of giving reasons that they can’t.

It might even be nice if Harrisburg helped! Don’t wait and show up on election years. Do your job as long as you hold office.

I remain,
