Bowmanstown Borough Council took the following action on Tuesday:

• On a 5-1 vote, approved a resolution to appoint Ben Powell to a three-year term on the zoning hearing board. Councilman Darren Thomas was opposed.

• Appointed Pam Leiby as delegate, and Rob Moyer as alternate delegate, on the Carbon County Tax Collection Committee.

• Appointed Tonya Smale to the vacancy board.

• Appointed Darren Thomas to the UCC Appeals Board.

• Announced that the planning commission still needs two members.

• Agreed to sign the annual engineering retainer letter.

• Adopted a resolution authorizing the sale of borough property to borough employees for the sale of the old computer tower.

• Accepted Chad Everett’s decision to rescind his resignation from the Water Authority Board until a member can be found.

• On a 4-2 vote, approved an additional payment of $1,000 on the smaller sewer loan. Council members William Ravert and Kara Scott were opposed.
