State police at Hazleton said a Luzerne County man wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of his girlfriend, has been located and is in custody.

Troopers said on Wednesday at 2 p.m. troopers were canvassing the area of the crime scene, 1290 Woodhaven Drive, Foster Township, when they located Scott Oliver, 30, in an unoccupied residence.

He is lodged in the county prison in Wilkes-Barre on a charge of homicide.

On Tuesday, troopers responded to the Foster Township location for a report of a female gunshot victim.

An investigation revealed the woman, Jessica Roman, 35, was shot by Oliver at their residence. He fled the scene prior to the arrival of troopers into nearby woods.

Roman was taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital - Hazleton, where she died of her injuries.

An arrest warrant was then obtained for Oliver.
