Franklin Township supervisors took the following action on Tuesday:

• Hired Edward Zink as a full-time road crew member, effective Jan. 3.

• Approved bids from Municibid ending Dec. 30, 2022, as follows: yard machine-snow blower, $135; Ariens snowblower, $230; Snapper riding lawn mower, $400; Snapper (Pro) riding lawn mower, $500; coated fencing, $220; and Tiger 6610 tractor, $5,600.

• Adopted a resolution appointing Buckno Lisicky & Co., PC-CPA in place of the elected auditors to examine all township accounts for 2022.

• Adopted a resolution, use of escalator clause for all bituminous materials and petroleum product purchase contracts either bid or entered into from Jan. 1, 2023 - Dec. 31, 2023.

• Adopted a resolution approving of the township fire company’s 2023 activity list.

• Adopted a resolution approving operational support activities for participating members of the township volunteer fire company for the year 2023.

• Approved the township per capita tax exoneration list from Sara Keiser, tax collector, for the year 2022.

• The next regular monthly meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 17.
