The Summit Hill Borough Council reorganized last night and elected a new president.

Joseph Weber, who initially was appointed to borough council in September 2002 to fill a vacancy, won the president’s vote by a 6-1 vote. He was nominated by Kenneth Boyd. Council member Patrick Coleman voted against him even though he was the only nominee for the position.

Weber succeeds Michael Kokinda, who held the presidency for one year. Re-elected vice president was John O’Gurek.

The council retained Kira Michalik as its secretary-treasurer and Attorney Joseph Matika as solicitor.
