Police said he was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Impala that struck the rear of a 2020 Buick Encore operated by Kelly E. Nystrand, 60, of Bangor, pushing it into a 2016 Subaru Outback driven by Alec J. Hayden, 18, of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and pushing that vehicle into a 2009 GMC Envoy operated by Jason C. Buck, 51, of Palmerton.

Police said Dennis and Nystrand had “suspected minor injuries’ but refused a medical transport.

The Impala and Encore were towed from the scene.

• Xavier D. Lopez, 20, of Stroudsburg, escaped injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 1:06 p.m. Dec. 22 on Pensyl Creek Road in Hamilton Township.

State police at the Stroudsburg barracks said he was driving a 2010 Toyota Corolla northbound and was traveling too fast for snow-covered road conditions. The vehicle went off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole before going down an embankment and striking multiple tree stumps.

The car was towed from the scene.

Police said Lopez was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.

• Junior A. Shaffer, 72, of Pine Bush, New York, was cited by state police at the Stroudsburg barracks after a two-vehicle crash at 12:20 p.m. Dec. 22 on Route 209 in Hamilton Township.

Police said he was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado southbound in slippery road conditions caused by snow and rain. Police said he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to spin out, and it was struck by a 2016 GMC Sierra operated by Mitchell A. Miller, 69, of Allentown.

No one was injured.

The Silverado was towed from the scene, police said.

• Keith C. Schlamp, 67, of Nazareth, was cited by state police at the Lehighton barracks after a crash at 10:21 a.m. Dec. 13 at the intersection of Bridge and South Ninth streets in Lehighton.

Police said he was driving a 2013 Express that proceeded straight on Bridge Street when a 2016 Ford F350 operated by Trevor J. Lawrence Jr., 55, of Lehighton, entered the intersection to make a left turn, cutting off the F350. It struck the Express on the passenger’s side.

Both operators reported they were not injured and refused medical treatment.
