John J. Sipko of Summit Hill, who spent 19 years of his professional career helping hospitals do business with insurance firms, was hired by the Carbon County Commissioners yesterday to serve as Director of Fiscal and Business Services at Weatherwood, the county’s home for the aged at Weatherly.

Sipko, 41, was one of 18 individuals who applied for the position.

Sipko last worked at Miners Memorial Medical Center, Coaldale, where he was a patients’ account manager, and previously held the same position at the Good Shepherd Hospital, Allentown, and business office posts at the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton.
