Fire sweeps through Nesquehoning garage

A state fire marshal is on the scene to determine the cause of a Wednesday night garage fire in Nesquehoning. On Thursday morning, Nesquehoning Hose Company fire Chief John McArdle and a fire marshal were looking through the rubble of the structure. The garage was a complete loss, with burned equipment sitting where the building once stood. Calls for the fire came in just after 9:30 p.m. for Elm and School street. The garage is behind the home, facing the railroad tracks. Crews from all three Nesquehoning fire departments, as well as Weatherly, Jim Thorpe and Lansford also responded. On scene, they found the garage was fully engulfed in flames. No further details were available as of press time. COPYRIGHT LARRY NEFF/SPECIAL TO THE TIMES NEWS
