Franklin Township supervisors took the following action last week:
• On a 2-1 vote, agreed to look into a Cable Franchise Tax Agreement. Supervisor Jason Frey was opposed.
• Approved a bid and purchase of a 2001 Massey Ferguson Mower from Municibid in the amount of $14,284, retroactive from Dec. 9.
• Approved an estimate in the amount of $6,370 from Pipe Data View as the company to televise sewer lines. They will begin on Main Road near the pump station.
• Decided not to extend the extension of the Declaration of Disaster regarding COVID-19.
• Announced there will be changes in garbage collection pick-up for Christmas and New Year’s Day. Collection will be Tuesday, Dec. 27, and Tuesday, Jan. 3.
• Christmas trees can be disposed of at the Phifer Ice Dams Park using the Penn Street entrance beginning Sunday.
• Announced that the township’s reorganization meeting will be held at 5 p.m. Jan. 3.
• Announced that the regular monthly board of supervisors meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 17.
