Carbon County’s newest qualified volunteer firefighters received certificates for having completed a basic firefighting course held at the Lehigh Fire Company, Lehighton.

The course was conducted by state local-level instructors Jack Miller of Jim Thorpe and Louis Mitchalk of Summit Hill.

The “certified” firemen include Frank Swartz, Doug Walck, Leonard Michlovsky, Bob Davison, Keith Heckman, Charles Leinthall, Robert Stamm, Robert Hawk, Kevin Mainell, Doug Coombe, Scott Coombe, Dave Baroskie, Mike Beshock, Dana Sabino, Kevin McArdle, Darrin Dotter, Robert Toley, Sean Christman, Todd Schleicher and Jerry Snyder.
