Pennsylvania State Police reported on numerous crashes that happened around the region recently.

• Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 10:28 a.m. Nov. 26 on Blakeslee Boulevard in Lehighton.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said Mary M. Rogal, 79, of Lehighton, and Nathaniel Dumas, 77, of Albrightsville, the drivers of the vehicles, and a 14-year-old boy from Albrightsville who was a passenger with Dumas, suffered injuries.

Rogal was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, while Dumas and the boy were taken to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Carbon Campus, Franklin Township.

Police said the incident happened when Rogal was facing west, attempting to make a left turn in her 2014 Subaru Forester when it struck a 2009 Honda Ridgeline operated by Dumas who was eastbound on Blakeslee Boulevard. Police said both vehicles sustained disabling damages.

• Malissa A. Close, 52, of Kunkletown, escaped injuries when a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 she was driving crashed at 8:59 p.m. Dec. 17 on Scenic Drive (Rt. 534) in Polk Township.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said she was northbound when the vehicle slid on black ice because she was traveling too fast for conditions. Police said she lost control of the vehicle, which left the road and struck a utility pole.

• A 2019 Chevrolet Equinox operated by Matthew R. Molloy, 35, of Westmont, New Jersey, struck a deer at 4:43 p.m. Dec. 11 on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Molloy and a passenger were uninjured.

State police at the Pocono barracks said it happened at mile marker 73.5 in East Penn Township when Molloy was traveling southbound.

• State Police Pocono Barracks said Jerrod T. Robinson, 29, of Lockport, New York, was driving a 2003 tractor trailer northbound and attempted to merge into the right lane when it struck the driver’s side mirror of a 2017 rig driven by Zarshed Obidov, 26, of Bartlett, Illinois. Police said Obidov’s rig then struck a concrete barrier with its passenger side front tire, causing disabling damages. The incident took place at 6:02 p.m. Dec. 13 at mile marker 89.6 in Kidder Township.

• Troopers said Timothy Dinkins, 53, of Bishopville, South Carolina, was operating a 2005 Ford F350 at a speed greater than reasonable for the snowy roadway conditions.

Police said the vehicle struck a concrete barrier, after which time it struck a rock on the eastbound shoulder and a trailer it was pulling overturned.

The incident happened at 1:34 p.m. Dec. 15 at mile marker 67.4 in Washington Township.

Dinkins was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

• Police said Kwabena Bryant-Carryl, 29, of Sinking Spring, was driving a tractor trailer that had spun out and was off the east shoulder of the road. Police said Bryant-Carryl changed lanes but lost control of the vehicle, causing it to strike the concrete barrier and jackknife.

The mishap happened at 8:22 a.m. Dec. 16 at mile marker 93.2 in Kidder Township.
