Route 309 in West Penn Township is now open after it was closed this morning due to a recent snowstorm.
The roadway was closed going over the Blue Mountain in West Penn going south. A team of PennDOT snow plows using plows then salting opened the road.
West Penn fire police closed the roadway at the intersection with Route 895.
