The Pleasant Valley boys and girls basketball teams picked up wins on Tuesday.

Elsewhere, the Marian girls basketball team and Lehighton wrestling squad also recorded wins.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

ES North-Pleasant Valley

Pleasant Valley posted a 55-23 Eastern Pennsylvania Conference win over East Stroudsburg North for its third straight victory.

Aryn Stivala paced the Bears (3-4) with 22 points, including 18 in the first half. Katelyn Honadel added 11 points to help PV surge to a 44-9 lead.

Marian-Weatherly

Marian cruised to a 72-17 Schuylkill League win over Weatherly.

Kerrigan Digris drained nine of her game-high 18 points in the second period as the Fillies (6-1; 3-0) took a 46-6 lead going into halftime.

Carly Minchoff accounted for five of her 11 points in the opening quarter, as Marian built a 19-2 advantage.

Kelly Reiner led the Wreckers (2-3; 0-3) with five points.

Lehighton-Pottsville

In a Schuylkill League Division I showdown in the Mecca, Pottsville prevailed with a 31-28 win over visiting Lehighton.

The Indians took a 13-12 lead into intermission, but the Tide outscored the locals 19-15 the rest of the way to come out on top.

Alex Blum led all scorers with 12 points for Pottsville (2-4; 2-1), scoring seven points in the second half. Liv Peleschak added 11 points.

Olivia Serfass posted five of her seven points in the final quarter for Lehighton (3-5; 2-2), while Katie Wojton also added seven.

North Schuylkill remained undefeated with a 87-54 Schuylkill League victory over Panther Valley.

Kamryn Mengel took over for the Spartans (5-0; 4-0) in the second quarter, as she posted 12 of her team-high 23 points right before half. Madeline Hall had the hot hand in the Spartans’ 24-point opening quarter, in which she scored eight of her 13 points, while Maddy Wetzel added 19 points.

Maddison Maynard paced the Panthers with a game-high 29 points for the Panthers (4-4; 1-3).

Pleasant Valley won its third straight game, rolling past East Stroudsburg North 80-59 for an Eastern Pennsylvania Conference victory.

Jarod Moore paced the Bears (4-4) with a game-high 27 points. Austin Ratti hit five three-pointers and added 19 points, while Zachary Prator scored 18 in the win.

Emmanuel Kenyi scored 23 points for the Timberwolves (3-3), who had won three in a row coming into the contest. Nate Wilder added 13 points.

Lehighton-Palmerton

Lehighton cruised to a 58-15 non-league win over Palmerton.

The Indians won eight of the 11 contested bouts, in which the visitors scored seven pins.

Aidan Gruber (121), Evan Wentz (132), Ethan Barachie (152), Jacob Ferguson (160), Brok Solt (172), Deven Armbruster (189) and Reese Balk (285) all had falls for the Indians. Connor Dugan added a major at 113.

For the Blue Bombers, Josh Merkel (126) and Derek King (145) both recorded pins, while Dillon Lombardi had a decision win at 138.

In a pair of girls matches, Lehighton’s Layla Bravo and Maggie Pagotto both earned decision wins. The two each defeated Getchen Schaible of Palmerton. Bravo won 6-5, while Pagotto recorded a 5-4 decision.
