Christmas services

The following churches have announced their Christmas schedules for the upcoming holiday.

• Slatington Baptist Church, 509 Main St., announces that its Christmas Eve Candlelight will be held on Saturday at 7 p.m. This service will include a drama called “Give Us Back that Night!” as well as beautiful music, and candlelight. There will not be a worship service on Christmas morning, but there will be a recorded Christmas devotional on the church’s Facebook page.

• Jacob’s UCC, 138 Franklin St., Weissport, invites you to a special holiday service designed for those whom the holidays might be difficult. If you have under gone a difficult loss, transition or life change, the church cares about you and invites you to a special time of music and worship. Our Blue Christmas Service will be held tonight at 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Refreshments will be served after the service.

Christmas Eve Service at 7 p.m. on Saturday. Experience a Christmas Eve service for the entire family including carols, communion and candlelights (including a special time for the children). Invite your family and friends to come along.

Christmas morning service at 10 a.m. Come and enjoy carols and scripture service.

• S.S. Peter & Paul Polish National Catholic Church, 44 E. Adams St., McAdoo. The Rev. Boguslaw Janiec, pastor, will hold a Vigil of the Nativity on Saturday. There will be Christmas music and carols (Pastoralki) at 8:30 p.m. followed by Shepherd’s Mass at 9. On Sunday, the Solemnity of the Nativity of the Lord (Wigilia). Holy Mass for Christmas Day will take place at 9 a.m.

Jan. 1: Solemnity of the Circumcision of our Lord. Holy Mass at 11 a.m.

• Trinity Lutheran Church, Lansford, will celebrate Christmas Eve Candlelight Service of Holy Communion at 7 p.m. on Saturday. SALM Emma Weaver will preside at this service. All are welcome. Please note that there will be no morning worship service on Sunday.
