Zion Opera Workshop hosts auditions

Zion Opera Workshop, Carbon County’s oldest theater group, is holding open auditions for its March production of “Anything Goes” on Monday at 1 and 6 p.m.

Anyone ninth grade and above, and adults of all ages, are invited.

If auditioning for a specific leading or supporting role, a reading will be required as well as singing a short section of one of the character’s songs.

Anyone interested will be admitted to the cast. This show is full of scenes with supporting cast and lots of dancing and singing.

Actors only need to attend one of the two audition times. Full group rehearsals are on Saturday and Sunday afternoons and smaller, group and scene rehearsals are on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. The show will be presented the evenings of March 3, 4 and 5, with a matinee performance on March 5.

No prior experience is necessary, and there is instruction on singing, acting and dancing. There is no fee to join the group.
