David Hiles of Summit Hill was elected to the Panther Valley School Board when the directorate met in regular session last night.

He will fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Charles Reehl.

Hiles got the nod over William Mansberry Jr. of Summit Hill with board members Edith Marks, president, Roseann Weaver, Peggy Poli, Edward Shubeck and Thomas Shober voting in his favor.

Board members Joseph Olexy, Manny Roman and Chet Michalik abstained from the vote.

Hiles, 32, is a partner in Hiles Brothers Plumbing and Heating, Summit Hill. He is a 1970 graduate of Panther Valley High School.
