Services to be held Saturday for two firefighters

The viewing and funeral service honoring two New Tripoli firefighters will be held Saturday.

Officials announced service information for The Community Fire Company of New Tripoli Assistant Chief/Frederick County Division of Fire and Rescue Services, MD Firefighter, Zachary Paris and The Community Fire Company of New Tripoli Firefighter, Marvin Gruber.

A public viewing will be held from 8-11 a.m. at The Northwestern Lehigh Middle School, 6636 Northwest Rd, New Tripoli.

A viewing will be held from noon-2 p.m. for all Lehigh County Public Service members and fellow Frederick County Division of Fire and Rescues Services.

The funeral service with full honor will begin at 2 p.m. in the Northwestern Lehigh Middle School Auditorium.

Due to the large number of attendees expected for this event, there will be multiple locations throughout the Northwestern Lehigh School Campus which will allow visitors to view the event via livestream.

There will be on site food available for purchase throughout the campus.

The following will not be allowed on school properly or during this event.

• No Emergency Pagers which could cause interference with the AV equipment or sound

• No recording devices

• No photos of any kind

Paris, 36, and Gruber, 59, died on Dec. 7, while responding to a three-alarm house fire at 1121 Clamtown Road, West Penn Township, Schuylkill County.

“We continue to ask that everyone please respect the privacy of the Paris, Gruber, and New Tripoli Fire Company families during this difficult time,” an official release states.
