State Police Bethlehem - crashes

State police at Bethlehem reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers.

• A crash was reported at 12:21 p.m. on Dec. 2 along Mountain Road in Washington Township, Lehigh County.

Troopers said Kyle E. Heiser, 29, of Slatington, was driving a 2021 Chevrolet Equinox eastbound and attempting to negotiate a left turn into a driveway when he pulled in front of a 2020 Ford Escape driven by Peter D. George, 70, of Slatington, who was westbound.

George swerved to avoid a collision but his vehicle struck a 2000 Ford F150 pickup truck which was eastbound on Mountain Road.

Troopers did not identify the driver of the pickup truck.

No injuries were reported. Heiser was cited for the crash.

• A crash was reported at 4:58 p.m. on Nov. 23 along Park Avenue in Washington Township.

Troopers said Devin T. Slack, 21, of Slatington, was driving a 2002 Subaru Forester eastbound when he lost control. The vehicle left the road and struck a 2015 Ford F150 pickup truck parked in a driveway.

Slack was not injured. He was cited for the crash.

• A crash was reported at 8:42 a.m. on Nov. 30 along Route 309 in Heidelberg Township, Lehigh County, at the intersection with Route 100.

Troopers said Matthew A. Peters, 22, of Germansville, driving a 2023 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, was stopped at the intersection for a red traffic light and attempting to make a left turn onto 100 from 309.

Christopher J. Heim, 18, of New Ringgold, driving a 2009 Subaru Legacy, was southbound on 309. Troopers said Peters made a left turn without yielding to Heim causing a collision.

No one was injured. The Legacy had to be towed from the scene.

Peters was cited for a traffic control device violation.
