American Primitive

Andreas VFW

The Andreas VFW Post 5069 will meet on Dec. 14 at 6 p.m. at the West Penn Annex.

Zion Lewistown

Pastor Jim Williams will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. worship service this Sunday at Zion Church Lewistown Valley. Sunday school is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.

The Preschool Board will meet on Dec. 13 at 7 p.m.

Tamaqua Seniors

The Tamaqua Senior Citizens met on Dec. 1 with 28 members in attendance. President Mary Bittle opened the meeting with the reading “Look For Me.”

Mike Trubilla is celebrating a December birthday. Nancy Eisley has been added to the sick list.

The group Christmas party is being held on Dec. 17 at DiMaggio’s, Tamaqua at 1 p.m. There will be no meeting on Dec. 22. There will be one on Dec. 29.

Meetings are canceled if school is canceled due to inclement weather.

The group meets every Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Coaldale Complex. Anyone 55 and older is invited to attend.

Calvary Lewistown

Pastor Ralph Saunders will officiate at the 10:25 a.m. worship service this third Sunday of Advent. Sunday school is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. Immediately following the morning worship will be the church Christmas dinner and party.
